How to Ask Your Pastor to Promote The 3 o’clock Challenge?

Promote The 3 o'clock Challenge

How to bring awareness of ‘The 3 o’clock Challenge’ to the different ministries in your church and neighboring churches? There is most likely a church bulletin available that has a list of the ministries and contacts or an online resource. Then ask the person in charge of each group in person or on the phone if you could, “…stop by your group for a couple of minutes to tell everyone about ‘The 3 o’clock Challenge’…it is a nationwide prayer campaign to bring awareness of the 3 o’clock Holy Hour (don’t assume they know what the holy hour is), and it encourages others to give God praise for just 30 seconds at the hour of Jesus’ death. God can use us to bring prayer into the lives of His children and if nothing else. He can use us to bring awareness of the 3 o’clock holy hour so due respect can be given to Jesus.

For those who know the Divine Mercy message. The 3 o’clock Challenge is fulfilling just that:

“At three o’clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion (the suffering and death of Jesus), particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony….I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion.” (Diary, 1320; also, cf. Diary, 1572)

How to approach a pastor about leaving materials at church or to bring ‘The 3 o’clock Challenge’ to the entire church after service/mass? (Giving out static cling car decals and informational cards are great for congregations.) Many pastors are very approachable and open to whatever means you want to serve God and will offer suggestions and much love and support to bring Jesus and prayer into the lives of their parishioners. However, some pastors are very reserved. Nonetheless, it is all good. So when approaching a pastor go with a very open mind being satisfied with whatever God wills. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t receive the encouragement and support you were hoping for. For reasons you may not understand, God allows failures and disappointments. However, with trust in Jesus, we know that no matter what happens it is all for our salvation. Therefore, simply try to learn whatever God is trying to teach you from every occasion, and move forward to another church, ministry or event. Please don’t allow Satan to get into your head and discourage you from continuing to serve Our Lord if obstacles come up. Sometimes serving God can be a challenge filled with obstacles, but God wants us to be vigilant and love and serve Him even if it isn’t effortless.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24

Of course, Prayer is the foundation of ‘The 3 o’clock Challenge’, therefore make every effort to pray before, during and after you serve the Lord in spreading awareness of God’s Holy Hour so Our Lord can work through you. Thank you and God bless!
